Rob Tucker, Ph.D.

Rob Tucker founded Grey Matter Partners in 2011 and has served as its managing partner since. The firm conducts senior advisory engagements with executive teams, boards, and ownership groups, with particular focus on the unstructured situations that consume the largest share of an executive's time: leadership transitions, board dynamics, partnership integrity, and high-stakes transactions.

Over twenty-five years, Tucker has worked with more than two hundred organizations, including Apple, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs. The work tends to be quiet by design. Most of it never appears in case studies or published material because the situations themselves require discretion.

Tucker holds a Ph.D. and brings both quantitative training and direct executive operating experience to the practice. He maintains a small set of standing relationships and engages with the rest of his clients on an as-needed basis. He participates in The Agora because he values what the partnership builds.
